… is a series of 19 slightly edited photographies that took place in an old cellar in berlin. as you may have noticed … this is not the natural environmet of a flower and also the colorization of the images are not realistic. what a surprise.

before we now deepdive into the weird and confusing hidden message of the artist, let´s talk about the editing of these images. each image is edited in the same way … the hydrangea´s
blossoms are colored and the rest of the image is kept in black & white. there is also an oil-painting-filter used in the main images (inner frame) and a mosaik-glas-filter around it (background around the inner frame).
the outer background becomes really unsharp/blurry and the main image is smoothly detailed, but still not to detailed (thanks to the oil-painting-filter and, of course, because the original images was created that way). the edges of the inner image are not chrystal-clear, but very soft - especially the flower/blossoms and the object(s) next to them. this effect makes them standing out of the background inside and outside of the inner frame and keeps the eye´s focus on the flower/blossoms. the images are made to be watched from little distance. getting to close kills the effect - even though the details are still beautiful (thanks again to the oil-painting-filter).

as mentioned above, the artist added a really absurd and disturbing hidden message to the images. if you are not willing to get rid of all your beliefs and the way you see the world - stop
reading now. otherwise go on, but keep in mind that you have been warned.

the world around us often seems grey, unclear, unreal, unsharp, confusing, big and so on … with a huge amount of very small and framed thematics/pieces/bubbles/shards… - while each
framed piece seems to be clear and carefully adjusted in its position/shape/color, the sum of all pieces still shows a very blurry image of the reality around. it only allows the viewer (you) to get a very unspecific idea of the world surrounding the frame - your personal frame. and: the main subject is always kept hidden.

but here´s the catch: no matter what - you are part of it all … you are inside it - directly in the middle. you are the the blossom, the flower, the colorful being. you are the one that brings fantasy, beauty, speciality and characteritics into this world - you can make it smoother, shinier, clearer and beautiful … with your personality, your unique existence and your extraordinary personality.
