... is a series of 9 unedited photos. each one shows a mannequin "exploring" the "nature" - and maybe a bit of her/him/his/it-self.
summer, sunshine, southern europe - and an unclothed, artificial body in a ‘more or less’ natural, country-specific environment. how? why? what for? what is the artist trying to say? does it make any sense? as a scarecrow? as a fetish? as an advertisement for clothing-free body culture? for attention? as a contrast? or perhaps even as a symbolisation of a completely absurd idea of the designer?
there are no indications, no clues and certainly no reliable findings regarding a deliberate manipulation of perception on the part of the creator. in none of the pictures is a subversively manipulative message ‘foisted’ or ‘imposed’ on the viewer. of course, it can just as well be claimed here and now in this text that every detail in every picture is planned, staged and only where it is because of this planned staging. the truth, this one and only truth, probably lies somewhere in between - or somewhere else entirely. we will probably never know. but what we do know is that we will never know. this is precisely what gives rise to the possibility of uninfluenced perception and the creation of explanations that have an equal right to exist, regardless of their actual truth content.
what is important and decisive, then, is the communication between the work of art and the viewing being. or rather: the inner monologue of the viewing being about what is being viewed and its effect on the monologue. if anyone speaks at all, it is most likely the viewing being itself - with itself ... and that is also the being that has something to say about it. at least if it is a human being. if you want to approach the question mathematically, you could start from a little more than 8 billion theoretical statements ... and if things go badly, none of them correspond to that of the creating being.
so in order to perhaps be able to give an answer to the question of what the creator ‘wants to say’, let's put it this way:
look and listen to what you have to say to yourself while looking ... love and kisses ...
